Christmas Tree Sales
From Dec 1 - 18 each year, the LV Lions, with the help of the 103 Air Cadets, and volunteers from North Shore sports teams, sell over 1200 Christmas trees. At our new location, the Karen Magnusen Rec Centre (Kirkstone and Lynn Valley Rd), beautiful cultured douglas and noble firs range from $35 to $75. Look for the signs and make sure you buy your next Christmas tree at the Lions Tree Lot.

Lynnwood Hotel Meat Draw
Currently, the Lynn Valley Lions Meat Draw at the Lynnwood Hotel has been postponed. Draws may start again in 2011 every second Friday Night at 5pm so that participants can enjoy festive cheer, big screen sportcasts and win great prizes to keep you BBQing all year. Lynn Valley Day
On the last Saturday in May, the Lynn Valley Lions co-host Lynn Valley Day with the LynnValley Community Association. The Lions marshall the parade, organize the midway, make candy floss and popcorn, and prepare their famous pancake breakfasts and hot dog/hamburger cookshack lunches. Stay tuned for more details.

Lynn Valley Lions Cookshacks
Special pancake breakfasts and deluxe hot dog/hamburger lunches with grilled onions, etc are provided by the Lions for a variety of events throughout the year. Our famous cookshacks serve events such as Lynn Valley Days, Take a Cop for Lunch, Business grand openings, Volunteer appreciation days, Lower Lonsdale Fall Festival, Lynnwood Hotel Show 'n Shine, and the Penguin Plunge with the Mt Seymour Lions.

Easter Chocolates for Seniors
On Easter Sunday, Lynn Valley Lions members visit Evergreen House, Lions Gate Palliative Care, Cedarview Lodge and Lynn Valley Lodge to deliver over 600 Easter chocolates at senior's residences. Big smiles and Easter cheer is shared by all.

Peace Poster Contest
During the spring, the Lynn Valley Lions purchase Peace Poster kits from Lions International for children ages 11-13. The 2007 theme was "Peace Around the World" and original art was submitted for international judging. The grand prize winner and 2 family members with sponsoring club president were sent on an all expense paid trip to New York City to present their poster to the United Nations assembly. Can you imagine!

Every year, the Lynn Valley Lions purchase, assemble and deliver 10 to 15 special Christmas Hampers for select families in the community. Big smiles and a joyous Christmas is shared by all

North Shore Lions Youth Exchange
Every summer, the Lions Clubs of the North Shore send 4 students and a chaperone to North Vancouver's sister city, Chiba, Japan. In exchange we receive 4 students and a chaperone. The visiting students are welcomed with a BBQ then visit Whistler and Victoria. After a full itinerary their visit ends with a banquet dinner at Cheers restaurant.
Entertainment Book Sales
During the fall, entertainment books are sold for the next year by Lions members. Restaurant, recreation and entertainment savings are numerous. Make sure to buy your books next year from a Lions member.
